Exciting Activities Week Ideas for Schools

Schools across the country are ready for the July / Week curriculum enrichment week this week. Activity week offers students a great opportunity to learn new skills inside or outside of school, which is, of course, a value that we share as educational travel specialists. To provide some inspiration for teachers for the week 2019 activities, we have shortlisted our top five suggestions that offer an exciting change to traditional learning for school students.

The excitement of activities week in Normandy

Start a residential school activity trip in France at a cheaper price, which rivals school activity trips based in the UK. Why not make your activities week trip more exciting by venturing to Normandy and giving your school group a truly adventurous camping experience, a short walk away from the white sandy beaches of Annoville?

An active program of watersports and on-land activities, including paddleboarding by the sea and canoeing on the Sealene River, as well as high ropes and climbing will have your students running for a sign-up list prior to the week of activities. Even better is that our fully qualified staff lead the activities and even direct the activities, with the students having a full schedule of fun evening activities in the Weezer Camping Village On site.

Locally spend activities week in london

You don't have to leave the country for a week filled with memorable experiences for yourself and your students. Shakespeare's Globe is always a hit with our school groups on the London tour. The reconstructed Historic Globe Theater is a fascinating exploration of the works of the most famous English writer in history. Take a guided tour to take you back to 16th century England. Located in the center, on the Thames to the right and next to the Tate Modern, there is plenty to keep your school group on for the rest of the day.

Drama students, in particular, will be eager to head to the West End to experience Theatreland's stage magic. The west end is the most popular among our school groups, including Rogue, Matilda and Aladdin.

If you are really looking for an out-of-the-box idea to get students excited, Kip in the Ship Experience on HMS Belfast certainly fits the bill. The historic WWII sleeps on the Royal Navy battleship, located on the Thames, with striking views of the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. View the capital from a unique angle, with breakfast included and a guided tour of the ship.
